Marine Specialties was retained as expert in design, installation and manufacturer’s specification compliance lawsuit for a 147 slip floating concrete dock marina located within a manmade basin.  Marine Specialties services included: review of compliance with installation specifications; inspection and evaluation of concrete floats for minimum manufacturing standards; inspection and review of float unit manufacturer’s facility for quality control methods, compliance, and certification of floating dock system; evaluation of electrical and mechanical system installation; and determination of freeboard specification compliance. Marine Specialties assisted with the development and implantation of remedial plan addressing installation and floating dock system deficiencies in freeboard and float deck surfaces, by increasing floatation of floating dock system, resurfacing all 147 slips, and providing final certification of project specifications compliance.
